Eric Heesacker
Associate Planner
Eric Heesacker, Associate Planner at RVCOG, has planning experiences spanning almost twenty years. After earning a master’s degree in urban planning from Portland State University in Oregon, Eric accepted his first planning job in Irvine, CA working on urban development projects later transitioning to transportation and long-range planning.
Moving back to Portland, Eric began working on urban projects for Washington County in Hillsboro, then rural planning projects, finally winding up working in the transportation arena. After moving to Arizona, Eric was retained on contract with Washington County for five more years continuing with consulting work on the County’s rural projects. Spending ten years as an elementary school teacher near Arizona’s Mexican border, Eric returned to planning in Oregon performing “projects as assigned” with RVCOG. He also serves on the City of Ashland's Transportation Commission.
