Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Reference Guide

In 2007, the RVMPO began a process to refine the Regional Transportation Plan’s Transportation Demand Management (TDM) element. This guide is a result of the revisions and may serve as a reference manual of options that communities may choose to implement. TDM can reduce travel demand by influencing people’s travel behavior. If implemented on an area-wide basis and activley supported by agencies, businesses, and residents, TDM strategies may be able to reduce or delay the need for street improvements as well as reduce energy consumption and improve air quality.
