The Rogue Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (RVMPO) Policy Committee, Jackson County, State of Oregon, will hold a public hearing to review and consider adopting an update to the Public Participation Plan. The hearing will be held at 2:00 p.m., July 23, 2024, during the Policy Committee meeting at the Rogue Valley Council of Governments, Lewis Conference Room, 155 N. 1st Street, Central Point, Oregon. The Public Participation Plan provides for a proactive public participation process that provides complete information, timely public notice, full public access to key decisions, and supports early and continuing participation of the public in developing plans. The planning area includes portions of Jackson County and the cities of Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Jacksonville, Medford, Central Point and Eagle Point.

Please comment in writing to Rogue Valley Council of Governments, 155 N. First Street, P.O. Box 3275, Central Point, OR 97502 or offer testimony in person during the public hearing. The draft Public Participation Plan may be viewed online at www.rvmpo.org, and at RVCOG at the above address. Please direct comments to Ryan MacLaren. Written comments received by 5 p.m., July 22, 2024, will be included in a staff report for Policy Committee review.

The RVMPO is considering the following amendment(s) to the 2024-2027 Transportation Improvement Program:

  1. Add Project to TIP: OR42 Middle Fork Coquille River & OR238 Griffin Cr bridges (KN23548)
  2. Add Project to TIP: RVTD Transportation Options FFY25 – FFY27 (KN 23675)
  3. Adjust Project in TIP: OR99: Sage to Willig Way (KN 23279)
  4. Adjust Project in TIP: NB Highland Dr to Barnett Rd (KN 23416)
  5. Adjust Project in TIP: Jackson County curb ramps, phase 2 (KN 22438)

The TIP fulfills federal requirements (23 CFR Part 450) for a long-range multimodal transportation plan and a short-range project programming document in the Medford urbanized area which includes RVTD, portions of Jackson County and the cities of Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Medford, Jacksonville, Central Point and Eagle Point.
